Agricultural tuning: more pulling power in the field

A tractor works long hours under heavy load. Tuning there is about pulling power and an engine that does not bog down.

A tractor works differently from a car. Long hours under heavy load, often at a constant engine speed. Tuning there is not about top speed, but about pulling power and an engine that bogs down less under hard work.

Where you feel the difference

When ploughing, drilling or hauling a full trailer, it is the torque in the working rev range that counts. With a well-matched file, the engine holds its speed better as the load rises. You notice it as fewer downshifts and a steadier working pace.

The whole machine counts

A tractor has a driveline, a power take-off and hydraulics designed for the factory output. So we stay within safe margins and keep an eye on temperatures. For machines that pull hard for many hours, we recommend a moderate calibration over the highest number.

For contractors and workshops

For contractors with several machines, and for workshops that service agricultural machinery, the file service works the same as for cars: upload the original read, choose the adjustment you want and download the file. Every machine gets a file based on its own read.

What we need

  • Make, type and year of the machine
  • Engine type and power according to the manufacturer
  • The original read and the tool you read with
  • The number of operating hours and the kind of work the machine does

Not sure whether your machine can be tuned? Send us the make and type and we will check whether a file can be made for it.
